I think it's so phenomenal what a camera can capture. It can take a nuclear polluted pond (Pictured behind me) and make it appear like we are in Bora Bora. (OH HOW I WISH WE ARE IN BORA BORA!!)
My husband is now head over heels, or shall I say head over loafers obsessed with photography. He is watching youtube videos non-stop, studying the manual and upgrading lenses on a camera that's not even ours. He's taking pictures of the keyboard as we speak.

I whale be! Your hubby is become quite the photog. I haven't gotten past the low aperture = blurry background. Apparently there's some really elaborate things you can do with a camera. You and Grace look great!
ReplyDeleteHaha ok first off, super cute title and Grace is too adorable! Second of all, that sweater and its whale print are amazing! I love J. Crew's prints and I was tempted myself to buy some of their animal-themed print sweaters lately but chose to buy a skirt instead. Thirdly, these pictures are so well done and you look amazing in them :)

Gorgeous girl! That is so cool your husband wants to improve his photography skills. I wish my husband was that dedicated, but I'm usually the one changing the settings and the framing :)

Haha, I love the title of this post. So clever : ) I love this outfit! I really like how simple, preppy, and well put together it is. The whale sweater is adorable and I really like the white belt. It really pops against the dark color of the sweater and khaki bottoms. You line about the nuclear polluted water is so funny! Cameras can do amazing things : )

ReplyDeleteIt's great to see how supportive your husband is of this blog! :p Where would we be without everyone else in our lives that help make our blogs possible?
ReplyDeleteChristy, I love your whale shirt! It's so pretty! Looks great on you. HAHAHA Can we clone your hubby? I would love to have someone take my pics. Guys love tech stuff! I've seen many bloggers husbands learn photography and LOVE IT. *clapping* for him! HAHAHA About the polluted waters. You should seen the brownish water we have here in New Orleans. Yuckkkk!

Beautiful shots Christy and a great outfit! Of course I'll be your friend hehe :) I love reading your posts and getting to know you. That is a precious shot of you and Grace. Her name truly fits her, she is a true testimony of God's grace and goodness. I will lift her up in my prayers. <3 Eva
ReplyDeleteWhat a great, classic outfit! Love the whales and Grace is absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteHi Christy! Ok first things first - you look so cute in these pictures and I was totally cracking up when you mentioned that your husband is really into photography now. I'm laughing because ever since I started this blog in May - my husband has also "all of a sudden" been more interested in catching the "right" light in all my pictures and posing me "correctly" LOL! He's also currently googling which lens to purchase in order to capture better pictures for my blog in Paris. It's pretty cute. Please do tell your hubby that he's doing a great job taking your pics hehe! I really love the lighting in these pictures on this particular post :) Anyways, I just wanted to tell you that I read your last post and I so wish I could give you and Grace a hug in person. I would have NEVER even imagined how much you and your family have gone through by just looking at the pictures because you guys always look so happy and positive. This just shows how you guys are such an incredibly loving family and always looking at the bright side of things. Grace is such a STRONG girl - she's really a miracle baby. I know that Grace has been through a lot but just want to remind you guys that that she is SO extremely lucky to have you guys as parents. Most normal adults wouldn't even have as much courage as Grace does and be able to deal with what she's been through. Grace's story touches my heart and I will always keep you guys in my prayers. <3

Christine
Love your outfit! You look great in it

Clicking over from Bumble of Joy. :) Smiling @ your husband taking pictures of the keyboard. Too funny. We have a big camera too, although rarely use it anymore. At one point, I was also really into learning everything about it. Now I just use my point-and-shoot.
ReplyDeleteLove love love that sweater.
Adore your cute printed sweater, its adorbale!
ReplyDeleteso preppy and pretty! Those shorts are utterly STUNNING, and I like them with the sweater and belt.

Your photos are fantastic. I wish my BF was at all interested in photography, but alas he can't stand the five minutes it'd take to help me with some blog pics. Oh well.

That is the cutest sweater! I LOVE the whale print; it reminds me of my in-laws who have a sign that says "Whalecome" on one side, and "Sea you later" on the other. So corny, but so cute!
ReplyDeleteHaha, your husband's obsession with photography sounds a bit like me! I'm always snapping pictures of random everything and my husband is just like "Why do we need pictures of that?"

Loving this casual outfit and the photos! Hehe isn't just awesome when hubbies are interested to help us take pretty photos? haha I was secretly thrilled when my husband took up photography too! Hey I scrolled down and saw the post about Little Grace. Her story is amazing and she is such a strong girl.

ur so pretty! love the look with your little girl :)
ReplyDeleteI love this sweater on you! Also, I'm new to your blog (definitely a follower now), and scrolled to read through Grace's story. It was very touching, and I even teared up (and I never cry...ever). Miracles are definitely possible...that's actually one of the reasons why my parents named me Grace (and my middle name is Noel--I'm a Christmas baby). I'll be praying for you all and your strength is inspiring.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!

Your whale sweater is adorable and the photo of you and Grace is totally precious!
ReplyDeleteHaha I think the same thing about the background whenever I take photos by the East River. There really is too much much good food to eat in NYC. It's a good thing I only really go out to eat on weekends or I'd need to rolled around :)
I haven't tried the SK-II mask yet but I'll let you know how it works after I do.
