A Wedding with Kate Spade

Dress: Kate Spade 
(Pardon the wrinkles, it was a long car-ride)

This past weekend we traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan for my good friend Sheila's wedding. 

The highlight of the wedding was not only seeing her get married, but also reuniting with a group of close high-school friends I haven't seen for years. These girls and I grew up together back in the day. 

We all went through the tortures of Chinese school together, battled through boy problems, embarrassed ourselves thoroughly with self-choreographed dances to the Backstreet Boys and Britney  Spears. I could go on for days about all the shenanigans we pulled back in the day. We called ourselves the "AsianJewelz". Yes, I can hear you laughing... but I'm telling ya, the AsianJewelz were the shiznats. We were freaking awesome. 15 years later, these girls are now all successful doctors, engineers and MBA grads who have made their presence known in society and I couldn't be more proud of them. I don't know when I'll see them again, but they've sure made lasting footprints in my heart, and will always be some of my oldest and greatest friends :)

    We grew up so close. My closest friends are from high school also. I know one of the bridesmaid (Stephanie) from college who is standing next to Sandy. I'm glad you got to see your friends again since you all have busy lives. You look great in that dress.

    You all look lovely! :) I love having those kinds of connections that are everlasting, regardless of the directions that life takes us.

    Pretty dress! There is nothing better than meeting up with old friends. Last week I went out to dinner with three of my childhood friends... we've all known each other since we were six and even though we all lead very different lives now we still keep in touch and have such a great time when we get together.     I love the dress and balloons as accessories!! :) It's so nice you got to reunite with your old high school friends - there must have been some great conversation and catching up! It's so weird to think how fast time has gone by and how things have changed so much since high school! I read your sentence about Chinese school and immediately had memories of my Mom dragging me to Chinese school every Saturday - and the only thing that got me through those grueling 4 hours was my good friends. We can safely say I didn't learn much in Chinese school - but I'm thankful for the memories, hehe! The dress looks so adorable on you and I love the sweet print! Have a great week! <3
