As Aaron has become more enthusiastic about his new photography hobby, we thought it would be interesting to incorporate some more art and technique into each fashion post. Originally I had envisioned to shoot this outfit in the middle of a dirty dumpster alley, or in front of some sort of rotted old barn to add a chaotic background, but this backdrop was kind of neat too.
Dress: Old, can't remember where I got it from
Ballet flats: J.Crew
We still have much to learn about photography, but adding bits of art/emotion into these shoots have made it so much more fun.
Have a great weekend!
Drugged out Grace.
You're beautiful! And I love the artistic look of the photos! Very dreamy! I was thinking of you recently ... I've missed your posts! :)
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely and so angelic!
ReplyDeleteLovely ! Love the white outfit in that rustic place. :) So dramatic. :)

Beautiful! How cool you husband is so interested in taking you outfit pictures. They are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteChristy, you are ethereally beautiful. Love the composition of these shots too - I wish my hubby had a photography hobby, it would be a nice alternative to the self-timer :)
ReplyDeleteWith two such beautiful girls its no wonder he's interested in capturing more photos of you two! Gorgeous shots and I LOVE the daily dose of Grace, she makes me smile! xx
ReplyDeleteLike I've said before, you are a natural in front of the camera! Soft, angelic, and beautiful photographs! Talented photographer and model :)

Tell Aaron to never stop being fond on photography... fashion shoots like this one are worth it! He definitely has an eye for composition, and obviously has got down all the technique.
ReplyDeleteAnd he's got you, he couldn't ask for a better model! I think you two totally achieved the "Rose in the Rough" theme, he captured perfectly how delicate and dainty you look in this. The contrast of your pale skin and dress against the dark, autumn-y background is superb.
Daily dose of Grace is dangerously adorable, as always.
Take care and have a good week, you and your whole "team" :) xxx

These pictures are beautiful! The background is fantastic and your white dress pops against all the earthy tones. Really lovely.
ReplyDeleteLooooooove the soft white dress photographed against the rough iron whatever-they-are ;). Good choice! And the first photo is so sweet and love your expression in that last one. Good job, team! Keep it up! And did Gracie get shots? Poor girl!
ReplyDeletei think these are great photos!!! i've become obsessed with photography too! there's just so much too learn. really is a lifelong learning experience. well worth the effort. my bf is pretty busy these days with work and trying to get into med school, while volunteering and a whole bunch of other things, so unfortunately not as much time to practice all the things i wish and the look i have envisioned! glad you're enjoying it. love the creative photos!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the artistic photography touches... your husband definitely has talent!
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that you two are working together! That always helps and it's so refreshing Christy. What a pretty dress. You look like an angel! Just floating! Very pretty!

This is so gorgeous!! I think Aaron is doing such a great job in photography - these all look so professional! Does he want to do a tutorial? haha, jk. but seriously, there is SO much to learn about photography - i don't know how people narrow down what they like/what works for them/etc. I opened photoshop and closed it immediately because I was already overwhelmed! I love that this has a "rustic" feel to it and the background is perfect! Good job both of you, to the model and the photographer!! :) Hope you had a wonderful weekend. The daily dose of Grace is sooo adorable - I kind of want to be in her state of mind right now, she looks quite relaxed and happy hehe
