MY LITTLE PONIES

Top: Nordstrom Rack  |  Dress: From friend  |  Belt: Forever 21  |   Shoes: Tahari |    Wallet: Prada |   Necklace: Jcrew

Happy Tuesday!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who left me such kind and thoughtful words of encouragement during my last post. It surprised me how many of you have also experienced similar heartbreak, or know someone who has. Thank you for sharing your experiences with me as well. I appreciate all of you with every ounce of my spleen :)

I know from far away this top looks like little itchy ants, but they are actually horses. This top saddens me because the material is so silky and lovely, but I have ripped it way too many times (on the sleeves) hence, now I just roll them up. Then the back ripped too. I feel like the angry incredible hulk- ripping through all my shirts with my throbbing muscles. Who am I kidding? I don't know if I'm just contorting my body in the wrong ways.

I just wanted to wear it one last time before I donate it. Unless one of you would like to try to salvage this poor shirt? I have tried to repair it several times but I think my arms are too thick. It's a size XS.

  1. You are so elegant and beautiful Christy!! Why don't you have a little dress made for Grace with the fabric? It is adorable, not at all like itchy ants!!! I will offer my services but I'm sure you could find someone way better than me! (It may need to be lined though....or you could turn it into an infinity scarf....) xx

    1. Meg, that is an EXCELLENT idea!! Wow I didn't even think of that. This will give me the perfect reason to take up sewing.. I've always wanted to try that :) thanks for the suggestion!

  2. I think you could just try removing the sleeves and it can be wearable again! I love the print on it, too! If all else fails, you can always make it into a dress for Grace! There are so many tutorials (Google transform button up into children's dress) on the internet!

    1. Yes! Between the comments from you and Meg, I am now determined to make use of that shirt somehow! Grace can have my ratty hand-me downs! hehe. I'm totally stoked about sewing now

  5. omg'd christy, you are too funny! i just laughed out loud at your Hulk comment. I could never imagine you (your size) having problems with that. SOOOO FUNNY! HaHaHa It's a great shirt! It could be just the material. I had a shirt that did the same thing. It could be a stitching problem too. Maybe something went wrong when they manufactured it. Despite it all, you look BEAUTIFUL! LOVE that belt and your necklace is fabulous. Have a great day!

  9. I think some clothes just aren't made perfectly. I had a blouse I bought at Zara and one day I looked at it and it had ripped in the front, I couldn't wear it anymore. I had only worn it once! (or maybe I'm becoming the Hulk too). I love the horse print though, too bad!
