A casual day and this week's most ...

Nothing incredibly creative today....Just a random casual outfit :)
Blouse: Plato's closet (old)         Shorts: NY and Co          Bag: Prada          Polkadot Scarf: Mayo swag
Enjoyable moments:
1. Roasting s’mores on our deck with good friends.
2. Watching the movie Man of Steel. Henry Cavill…holy cow, I haven’t had a celebrity crush ever since Hayden Christensen from Star Wars

Proudest moment:
Watching Grace take her first few assisted steps using her new walker in physical therapy. She has come such a long way since just 6 months ago, when she was completely paralyzed on the left side after her surgery! Babies are incredible!

Oddest comments:
1. From Aaron (on my poor exercise tolerance and being out of shape)
“Honey, you’re not thin. You’re just a small wad of fat, with no muscles whatsoever.” :\

2. Again, from Aaron. I think this was meant to be a compliment
"You are as sharp as a hawk, with the reflexes of a mongoose, and stamina of a baboon"

Looking forward to:
Seeing my best friend, Rachelle and her new baby in Cleveland this weekend!

Warming moment:
Visiting an old patient with multiple sclerosis at his home, taking him on a walk around his neighborhood in his wheelchair, and seeing his grateful smile.

What is your week’s most ____ ?

  12. You look fabulous Christy! You have the best hair! It's so pretty! Love that Prada purse and scarf. So chic. Grace is doing really well. So happy for her. That was really nice about the guy with MS. It really makes one think about what we complain about. hahaha My week's most proudest moment was seeing a family member overcome cancer. It's been a long battle, but I think it's finally over.

  17. i love this cute + casual outfit Christy! the blouse is darling and the scarf tied onto your bag looks great too. okay, let's talk Man of Steel for a moment - i too LOVED the whole entire experience. i thought it really did justice to the legacy of Chris Reeve and Superman. did you happen to catch the moment where he comes home to see his Mom (Diane Lane) and they hug? it was like a real mom + son moment - he pulled away 1st and she kept holding on...then he re-hugged again. i had a tear over that, so subtle but really powerful all at once.

way to go Grace - time for a victory lap for sure. what a sweetheart, every ounce of this space oozes love for her. it's quite an inspiring thing to see! Aaron's comments are epic, i think he and my boyf would get on brilliantly. out of the mouths of men, what in the world anyways?! happy weekend wishes, sounds like you've got even more goodness coming your way. yah! ♥

  18. Oh my gosh, congratulations to little Grace! I am so happy for you and your family! Secondly, your outfit is perfect. You are super fashionable! Thirdly, I think this week's most memorable moment was coming home to your own bed (went on a trip for a week) and hearing your significant other say that he missed you.

  23. It sounds like you had such a wonderful week - minus the small wad of fat comment, although I think the same could possibly be said of a lot of us petite girls ;) I always love a good black and denim combination, and this one is really pretty!

  25. What! just because you're not in shape doesn't mean you're not thin! I'm in the exact same boat :) Carrying around a baby is enough of a work out for me ;)

And Go Grace! Glad she's recovering so quickly! What a cutie :)
