This beautiful weather was actually a few weeks ago. Minnesota is now frosted in light snow and 20 degree temperatures. Now with two kids, I'm running out of ideas of what to do with them while trapped indoors. Experienced mid-western parents, what do you guys do with your little ones during the wintertime when playgrounds and other outdoor activities are limited?

A few weeks ago, Aaron and I had agreed to shoot a Mayo Experience Video highlighting Grace's journey through epilepsy, brain surgery and the excellent care that she had received through Mayo Clinic. We thought it was just going to be a camera guy who will come to our house, but it turned out to be this entire elaborate video crew with a director, producer, fancy cameras, lights, grips, hair-makeup crew and everything!! We spent the morning talking about our experience through Grace's health issues and how well she is doing now from the comprehensive, collaborative care. Grace of course, was the star of the video and she did so well! She's a natural actress :) I'll make sure to share the video when it's up!
Hi Nathan!! (4 1/2 Months)
How awesome that you had a whole video crew to shoot the video! little Nathan is so adorable :)

I'm not looking forward to being stuck indoors either! At least around DC, I try to brave the cold even for a few minutes so that the kids can have some fresh air. That, and try to have new activities to do indoors. In the winter, I've also brought the snow indoors in tupperware for the kids to play with. Can't wait to see the video and baby's hair is awesome!
ReplyDeletei love nathan's hair!
ReplyDeleteWhere can I find the video? Is it on the mayo clinic website yet?

That hair! So cute. I'm looking forward to seeing the video! Our girls recently discovered the video game Just Dance and it's actually great exercise when the weather is cold/rainy. When they were toddlers we bought an inflatable swimming pool to use indoors... we filled it with those small plastic pit balls and the girls had a blast swimming and rolling around in it. Have a great day and stay warm!

ReplyDeleteI've always wanted a utility jacket like that. And it must be so weird to have so much equipment and people to invade your space.
